Mission:
To support and enhance the mission, philosophy and ministry provided by The United Methodist Homes of New Jersey.
The Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, is governed by a nine member board of trustees that is
responsible for fund-raising, management of the Foundation's assets, and disbursements of grants, loans,
seed money and Fellowship Fund to The Homes.
The Foundation staff directs the Fellowship Fund annual gifts program, special events, gift planning, public
relations, communications services and the Centennial Campaign. As part of The Homes' ministry the staff
organizes care giving training and certification programs with the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference
of the United Methodist Church. An outreach program fosters the activities of auxiliaries at each community,
provides programs for churches and community groups, and engages volunteers who serve in the communities.
The staff seeks to strengthen the relationship between United Methodist and other churches that sustain our
service to senior men and women.
The Foundation's
Fellowship Fund Endowment is a permanent fund producing annual income that is allocated for
resident care and services. The endowment grows through generous gifts of cash, securities, bequests, charitable
gift annuities, charitable trusts, real estate and personal property.
