Flu Safety Update

With flu season upon us we want to provide you with information regarding our H1N1 Pandemic Contingency plans and how to keep you and your loved ones healthy. The residents in our communities are particularly vulnerable to the effects of the seasonal flu and the possible spread of H1N1, which could also affect our workforce. It is particularly important to follow the guideline below when visiting our loved one and our communities.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently: This is the single most important thing you can do to stop the spread of either the seasonal flu or the H1N1 flu.

  • Use alcohol based hand sanitizer: This is available at the entrances and throughout all of our communities

  • Do not sneeze or cough into your hands: Use a tissue or the crook of your elbow

  • If you are sick, please don't visit until at least 7 days after your fever has resolved without the use of fever reducing medicines.

  • Get both the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccination.
